Μήνυμα προς τον Προκαθήμενο της Ορθοδόξου Εκκλησίας της Αλβανίας Μακαριώτατο Αρχιεπίσκοπο Τιράνων και πάσης Αλβανίας Αναστάσιο για την κατεδάφιση  Ιερού Ναού Αγίου Αθανασίου Δρυμάδων και επιθέσει κατά του ιερέως Χρήστου Παππά, κληρικού του Iερού Ναού Αγίου Χαραλάμπους στους Αγίους Σαράντα, απέστειλε ο Αγιώτατος Πατριάρχης Μόσχας και Πασών των Ρωσσιών Κύριλλος. Αναλυτικά το μήνυμά του: Προς τον Μακαριώτατο Αρχιεπίσκοπο Τιράνων και πάσης Αλβανίας κ.κ. Αναστάσιο Μακαριώτατε, αγαπητέ ἐν Κυρίῳ Αδελφέ και Συλλειτουργέ, Με έντονη ανησυχία πληροφορήθηκα την βαρβαρική κατεδάφιση του Ιερού Ναού Αγίου Αθανασίου του χωριού Δρυμάδες και την άγρια επίθεση κατά του ιερέως Χρήστου Παππά, κληρικού του Ιερού Ναού Αγίου Χαραλάμπους στους Αγίους Σαράντα. Αυτά τα ανοσιουργήματα εξτρεμιστών επιδιώκουν ένα πολύ συγκεκριμένο σκοπό: να διαταράξουν τη διαθρησκειακή ειρήνη και τάξη στην Αλβανία. Βιώνοντας παροίμες θλίψεις λόγῳ εκτροπών τις οποίες διαπράττουν στην Ουκρανία ακραίες ομάδες εθνικιστών και σχισματικών, εκφράζω την αδελφική μου συμπαράσταση προς την Ορθόδοξη Εκκλησία της Αλβανίας και στηρίζω αμέριστα τις προσπάθειές Σας για τη διάδοση του Ευαγγελίου και την ενίσχυση της κοινωνικής συνοχής στη χώρα. Mesazh drejtuar Primatit të Kishës Orthodhokse të Shqipërisë Fortlumturisë së Tij Kryepiskopit të Tiranës dhe gjithë Shqipërisë Anastasit për shkatërrimin e Kishës së Shenjtë të Shën Athanasit në Dhrimadhë (Dhërmi) dhe për sulmin ndaj klerikut Kristo Pappa, prift i Kishës së Shën Harallambit në Saranë, dërgoi Patriku i Tërëshenjtë i Moskës dhe Gjithë Rusisë Qirilli. Me shqetësim të madh u informova për shkatërrimin barbar të Kishës së Shenjtë të Shën Athanasit në fshatin Dhrimadhes (Dhërmi) dhe për sulmin e ashpër ndaj klerikut Kristo Papa, prift i Kishës së Shën Harallambit në Sarandë. Këto shkelje brutale/të sëmura të ekstremistëve kanë një qëllim shumë të caktuar: të tronditin paqen ndërfetare dhe rendin në Shqipëri. Duke përjetuar hidhërime të ngjashme për shkak të lajthitjeve të cilat kryejnë në Ukrainë grupe ekstremiste nacionaliste dhe skizmatike, shpreh  mbështetjen time vëllazërore kundrejt Kishës Orthodhokse të Shqipërisë dhe mbështet padiskutim përpjekjet  Tuaja për përhapjen e Ungjillit dhe përforcimin e kohezionit në vend. September 26, 2015 His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent a letter to the Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and All Albania, concerning the destruction of the Church of St Athanasius in the village of Dhërmi and the attack on Rev. Christos Pappas, a cleric of the Church of St Charalambos in Sarandë. Archbishop Anastasios His Beatitude Anastasios, Archbishop of Tirana and All Albania Your Beatitude, Beloved in the Lord Brother and Concelebrant, It was with deep concern that I learned about the barbarous destruction of the Church of St. Athanasius in the village of Dhërmi and the brutal attack on Rev. Christos Pappas, a cleric of the Church of St. Charalambos in Sarandë. These evil deeds committed by extremists pursue the evident goal of undermining interreligious peace in Albania. Experiencing similar sorrowful feelings because of the outrageous acts committed in Ukraine by radical nationalist groups and schismatics, I express my fraternal sympathy with the Albanian Orthodox Church and full support for your work, aimed at preaching the Gospel and strengthening peace in the Albanian society.
